Scenario: The cities in the future will need to be sustainable and well planned out, as the worlds resources begin to become depleted. When planning out your ideal futuristic city you will need to be looking at better ways to use primary resources such as: Food, Renewable Energies, or the way buildings are built and the materials that they are made of! Also you will be wanting to be able to look for more efficient ways of transport, waste disposal, education, recreation facilities and even government...... (Remember this is futuristic sustainable city, so not all things need to exist fully in reality at this time)
Criterion A: Inquiring and Analyzing
Question (strand) 1. : (Explain here why there is a real need for us to start developing ideas, plans and carry out research on how to better designs the cities that we will living in, in the future. In your answer try to focus on: sustainability issues, improving the life style of people living in a city i.e. parks, schooling, style of government, defense, jobs, transport renewable energy etc.)
1.There is a real need for us to start developing ideas and plan and design new cities that we can live in because now days we have lots of sustainable issues and troubles with using renewable energy so that is why we should think about planning a new city that can offer better education and make people's lifestyles healthier and better.
Question (strand) 2 and 4 : Mind map of ideas for what I need to put into my city to support my research table.

Question (strand) 3. put together a slide show and then add a text box and talk about how they gave you ideas of how to create your own city.
I looked at each of these pictures above and got an idea from each picture , then i thought about adding these variety of ideas to my city . For example i thought about making my city underwater , i also thought about the infrastructure and the buildings and how they would look like and what materials would they be made out from ( Simple, modern, etc.) I also thought about the ways of transportation , and how were the citizens going to get from one place to another. So these were some ideas i got from researching and fining those pictures to help me create my own city.
Criterion B: Developing Ideas
Strand 1. Develop a design specification which outlines the success criteria for the design of a solution based on the data collected
My design specifications will include the following from research carried in Criterion A Inquiry and Analyzing.
My design specifications will include the following from research carried in Criterion A Inquiry and Analyzing.
The kinds of Renewable Energies that I will be using in my futuristic city are:
+ Tidal wave energy I would use because I want to develop my futuristic sustainable city near or over the sea.
+ Solar Energy I would use because the area I will be developing my city will have lots of sunshine
+ Wind Energy I would use because the area that I will be developing my city will have lots of wind since its next to the sea
+ hydrogen power generators I would use because my area would have lots of water which can allow me to get lots of hydrogen.
The Kinds of Parks that I will be using in my futuristic city are:
+ Fitness Parks I would use so I can keep all my citizens healthy and fit so they can live a healthy life
+ Inclusive Playgrounds for normal and special needs children to be able to play together in.
+ Relaxation Parks (Stress free) I would use so people can get their minds of what ever is bothering them
+ Sport parks I would use so my citizens can enjoy playing their favorite sports
+ Picnic parks I would use so family & friends can sit and enjoy each others company without being hit with a ball or bike etc.
+ Animal Friendly Park
The kinds of buildings(shape size, material they are made of etc) that I will have in my futuristic city are:
+ Round in shape and off the ground they will not be on top of each other.
+ Factories will be all together in one part of the city not near the area where people will live.
+ All house will be basically the same, but the people will be able to personalize their homes inside and a little bit on the outside.
+ The buildings will be made from recyclable materials i.e. high quality recyclable plastics etc
The ideal positioning of where I would build my futuristic city:
+ Partly land and partly over the ocean
+ Near a larger land mass
+ Near a good source of water
+ strong tidals waves
+Near a mountain range that was volcanic once
The kinds of transportation that I would use in my futuristic city:
+ Electric vehicles of some kind
+ Walking
+ Hydro motor driven Boats.
+ Sail boats
+ Mono rail system
+ form of mechanical lifts inside the larger building
The kind of Social Structure in my futuristic city:
+ Peoples Government
+ Freedom of religions
+ Equal rights for all people
+ A focus on making families strong.
+ Law and order (accountability)

Ghost cities of the future in China (the most populated country in the world??????
What went wrong????????
Strand 2. Present a range of feasible design ideas, which can be correctly interpreted by others
One sustainable city could look like this below:
One sustainable city could look like this below:
Future design 1 : floating on water
Future design 2 : In the sky
Future design 3 : Underwater
Strand 3. Present the chosen design and outline the reasons for its selection (combined strand 3 and 4 together)
Strand 4. Develop accurate planning drawings/diagrams and outline requirements for the creation of the chosen solution
This city state allows people to be able to enjoy all that mother nature has to offer beautiful plenty of fresh water, beaches and even mountains too! The living spaces are spread out to give the feeling of freedom and relax atmosphere. Mixed amoung the trees and hills are the power stations and parks...
Criterion C: Creating a Solution
Strand 1. Construct a logical plan, which outlines the efficient use of time and resources, sufficient for peers to be able to follow to create the solution You might like to use SIM CITY on your IPAD, Iphone or Android FOR FREE, OR YOU can do it in paint or can build it physically. Please include photos of Renewable power plants, schools, police station, factory etc.
Hardware store
Sewage plant
Water plant
Solar windmill
Fire station
Strand 2. Demonstrate excellent technical skills when making the solution (no need to write here)
Strand 3. Follow the plan to create the solution, which functions as intended explain changes made to the chosen design and the plan when making the solution.
Answer: I followed most of the design specification, however i had to change somethings, due to the application i was using (Sim City).
i used water plants, and i also added sewage plants. i included fire stations for the citizens safety. i also included hardware stores, so the citizens can find all there needs. And i have added much more than that. Many of them are included in the pictures attached above.

Strand 4. Present your final future sustainable city here (This should be ((print screen shot)) of the end results of strand 1 in criterion C)
Criterion D: Evaluation
Strand 1 . Describe testing methods that you would use to see if your Sustainable Futuristic city could work, which generate accurate data, (how would you record your data for example you could record feedback on your city on a table to help measure the success of the solution)
Strand 2. Explain the success of the solution against the design specification (this is the list of specifications that you need to have to make your city sustainable and futuristic for example solar power, parks or farming etc.)
Answer: I used all the resources i could get on the app, Sim City, because some of the things that i had on the list, were not available in the app. However, most of the things that i had on the list, i was able to get and include in my city, so my citizens could enjoy their lives and their happiness.

Strand 3. Describe how the solution you came up with could have improved even further.
Answer: The solution that i came up with could be improved, if all the resources that i included in my list of specifications, were available on Sim City. unfortunately, they were not.
